Piper of Hollow Park

A Sapphically Sweet Cozy Coven Fantasy.

Embrace the Mischief. Madness is Magic.

A Studio Ghibli-inspired* enchanting cozy fantasy with magical floral wands, a chaotic coven, and a town that insists it’s not magic—until a girl dares to bloom too brightly.

Lush aesthetics, sweet-reblooming romance, and whimsy with a bite.

Piper of Hollow Park is a sapphically sweet cozy coven fantasy chock-full of witty coven banter; a non-toxic, low drama, high chemistry sapphic romance; mischievous sentient botanicals; endearing familiars (origami micro-dragon that hiccups confetti but is obsessed with fire, yes please!) with a wholesome, timely story at its cozy, happy heart.

Piper has spent her whole life pursuing perfection only to find it just out of her grasp.

When she quits ballet and impulsively moves to Hollow Park, she thinks her perfectionist ways are behind her. She tells herself she came for the plum-colored fixer-upper cottage, the nostalgia and first love of her childhood summers, the gentle rhythm of a life exploring hobbies, and borrowing honey from the neighbor.

But deep down, Piper knows the truth even if she can't remember it.

She came for the magic.

Hollow Park is everything she hoped for—charming, cozy, safe. The kind of place where the bread is always warm, the candles never burn out, and the town’s quirks feel just a little too lucky to be coincidence. It’s perfect.

When her floral magic erupts and new witches take notice a coven forms, strengthening Piper’s magic. Familiars in the veil sense the blossoming magic and soon join the fun.

Piper’s magic isn’t subtle. It’s untamed, strange, and divergent— just like her. Right when she's starting to get a handle on her hyperactive magic and launching a floral shop a rival arrives with posh, flawless bouquets and a charming likability that wiggles its way under Piper’s skin.

Suddenly, Piper’s magic feels wrong. Unpolished. Too much. And in trying to fit in, she makes one crucial mistake: She takes floral shears to her magic—then hedge clippers. But no matter how much she trims, it keeps creeping back, wild and unruly. And with unintended effects on the charming villagers.

Hollow Park begins turning against magic. Her coven can’t save her. Even the coven’s beloved familiars slip back into the veil (sob!). Piper is left with nothing but the unbearable truth: the cost of belonging shouldn’t be losing what matters most of all—yourself.

Piper must do the one thing she’s never dared—embrace her divergence and turn up the volume. But first, to fully bloom, she must restore magic in Hollow Park. All she has left is a single child’s impossible magic, a first love whose belief in her has never wavered, and a town full of dreamers who don’t recognize the wonder of their forgotten magic.

Piper of Hollow Park is a cozy fantasy novel that completes the thesis requirements of my MFA program. It is a wholesome adult cozy fantasy with mild to moderate spice. This is my debut novel. Projected self-published launch on Amazon Fall 2025. Pre-orders will open Summer 2025.
